Weston & Sampson is seeking a motivated, proactive individual to work within our growing Electrical Engineering team as an Instrumentation and Controls Designer/Engineer with 2+ years of experience out of any of our New England office locations.  A basic understanding and interest of process instrumentation, automation equipment and control system communication networks are desired.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Support our growing internal and external client base serving the institutional, educational, commercial, water, wastewater and municipal industries.
  • Conduct instrumentation and controls system design for both new and renovation projects for a variety of facility types within the private, public and municipal sectors.
  • Conduct field investigation of existing conditions and generate reports
  • Provide construction administration and supervision support services
  • Coordinate with and provide guidance to internal engineering staff (particularly process engineers and electrical engineers), equipment vendors and clients
  • Work with a diverse team on multidiscipline projects
  • Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites.

What you will bring:

  • 2 years (minimum) of experience working as a system integrator, or in design and construction administration working in a multi-disciplinary professional engineering firm involved in the production of contract bidding documents and design-build projects
  • CAD and/or REVIT Experience
  • Microsoft Office experience including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Organizational/time management skills are required.
  • Desire to grow within the group and company
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
