Commercial Construction Superintendent

Weston & Sampson CMR is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent in our Charleston, SC location. The Commercial Construction Superintendent will be responsible for the successful execution of commercial construction projects, from pre-construction through project closeout. This role involves managing subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining project quality, and providing regular updates to the project team and client.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee all aspects of construction activities on the job site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring their performance aligns with project requirements.
• Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures on the job site.
• Monitor and control project schedules and budgets.
• Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and subcontractors.
• Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Maintain detailed records of project activities and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.

What you'll bring:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of construction best practices and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in construction software and scheduling tools such as Procore, Primavera P6.
• Industry-specific certifications for example Safety Certifications are a plus.
