Weston & Sampson is seeking an entry or mid-level engineer with 0-8 years of experience with site/civil development engineering out of our Manchester, NH office or our Reading, MA office.
You will have a unique opportunity to be involved with design work for both external and internal aspects of our multidisciplinary design projects.
Outside the buildings, you'll be involved in using Civil3D for creating site layouts and developing surfaces as well as drainage pipe networks for grading and drainage plans. Additionally, you will compile and summarize zoning and permitting requirements for individual projects and assist with preparation of applications to secure approvals for local wetland permits, site plan permits, and zoning variances.
Inside, you'll be trained to assist our Facilities Design Group, focusing on implementation of industrial equipment associated with fleet maintenance operations. Industrial equipment includes design work associated with vehicle washes, fuel systems, vehicle lifts, bridge cranes, fluid distribution systems. This role will require you to work closely with clients to adapt these systems to their specific needs and coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure that these systems are incorporated into the overall design of the facility. This multifaceted role will involve collaboration with professionals across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, fire protection, environmental, geotechnical, and architectural disciplines.
