Weston & Sampson is hiring an Engineer l with our Wastewater Discipline with 0 to 2 years of experience in our Worcester or Foxborough, MA offices. The candidate will have 0 to 2 years of experience for evaluation, design, and construction of municipal wastewater collection and treatment systems.

 

What you’ll do:

  • The selected individual will assist project managers with the preparation of engineering studies, design plans and specifications.
  • Will often visit job sites to perform project tasks including, manhole inspections, data gathering, field inspections, surveying and construction observation. 
  • The office work may include engineering design, data review and tabulation, data management and analysis, and preparation of technical reports. 
  • The selected individual should expect to work on a variety of civil engineering projects at any given time as workload requires but an emphasis will be placed primarily on studies, evaluations, designs, and rehabilitation of wastewater and stormwater collection systems, and related projects.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering
  • Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting and design skills
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft excel for data analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Background in hydraulics is a plus
  • Industrial wastewater treatment or operations experience is a plus
  • EIT Certification in Massachusetts is a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software products
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as required

  • A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning as new tasks are assigned and new projects are undertaken
  • Valid drivers license required
