    Weston & Sampson Services is seeking an experienced supervisor/manager in the Boston/NorthShore area with at least 5 years of supervision/management experience holding an active Massachusetts Drinking Water License – Distribution Operator (grade D-2 or higher) to assist with the ongoing supervision and management of Public Water Systems in Massachusetts.  Duties will include normal supervision and management tasks of a public water system’s operation, maintenance and management including scheduling/planning, supervision of the field/operations staff, reporting and oversight of preventive and repair maintenance, meter reading, meter replacements, water main flushing, valve operations, capital improvements, water quality sampling and backflow device testing/surveying.  The candidate will need to be available for after-hour, weekend and holiday emergency coverage. 


    Minimum Requirements include:

    • Massachusetts Drinking Water Distribution License, Grade D-2 or higher
    • Minimum of five (5) years of water/utility supervision/management experience 
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Good verbal and written communication skills, math skills, and the ability to read complex technical instructions
    • Available for on-call emergency coverage after-hours, weekend and holidays.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products


    Preferred experience includes:

    • Massachusetts Drinking Water Treatment License, Grade T-1 or higher
    • A Massachusetts/New England Water Works Backflow Device Tester &/or Surveyor License
    • SCADA experience
