    Weston & Sampson is rapidly expanding its environmental resource management, sustainability and resilience practices and is seeking an Engineer II, Environmental Scientist II, or Planner II with a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience to assist with vulnerability assessments and strategy implementation, hazard mitigation planning, low impact development, and watershed and stormwater management.


    Duties include:

    • Assist on multi-disciplinary teams on projects.
    • Conduct research to support resilience projects.
    • Prepare presentations, reports, memoranda, and other high-quality communication materials.
    • Prepare both analytical and planning-level studies.
    • Prepare presentations for and participate in community meetings.
    • Perform other related duties as required.

    This position is open in our Peabody, MA location.



    • BS degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental policy, biology, planning, or a related field.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex information to the public.
    • Problem-solving skills, a strong work ethic, and the abilities to prioritize and multi-task.
    • Ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently.
    • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software products.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as required.


    • Masters degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental policy, biology, planning, or a related field.
    • A background in climate change, natural resource management or biodiversity or related environmental issues.
    • A broad understanding of the various aspects of climate change adaptation methods, tools and frameworks.
    • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
