    Weston & Sampson Services is seeking an experienced and licensed drinking water operator to operate and maintain a municipal drinking water system (distribution and treatment) in southern New Hampshire.  Duties will include normal operations of a public water system, preventive and repair maintenance of the system and equipment, meter reading, meter replacements, water main flushing, water quality sampling, backflow device testing, alternating weekend and holiday coverage and emergency call-outs. 


    Minimum Requirements include:

    • New Hampshire Grade 2-D & 1-T drinking water licenses
    • Basic mechanical and electrical repair experience
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Good verbal communication skills, basic math skills, and the ability to read complex technical instructions
    • Must be available to work weekends and holidays through participation in an on-call rotating schedule, and overtime when required
    • Must be able to respond to emergency call-outs in a timely manner


    Preferred experience includes:

    • Minimum of three (3) years of working experience in the water field.
    • Supervisory capabilities
    • A New Hampshire/New England Water Works Backflow Device Tester & Surveyor license
    • SCADA experience
