    Weston & Sampson Services is seeking someone to help operate and maintain a municipal wastewater system in Chatham, MA. Duties will include preventive and repair maintenance of all site equipment, assist in the operation of nine gravel packed wells, 100 miles of distribution, chemical feed systems, backflow testing, alternating weekend coverage and answer emergency call-outs. 



    Minimum Requirements include:

    • Massachusetts DEP Grade 3-D & 1-T Water certification
    • Basic mechanical and electrical repair experience
    • Valid Commonwealth of Massachusetts motor vehicle license
    • Good verbal communication skills, basic math skills, and the ability to read complex technical instructions
    • Must be available to work weekends, participate in the on call and holidays on a rotating basis, and overtime when required
    • Must be able to respond to call outs within twenty (20) minutes from the time of notification
    • Must be able to work with OSHA approved respiratory protection
    • Minimum of three (3) years of working experience in the water field. \


    Preferred experience includes:


    • Experience operating a green sand filtration facility
    • DEP sampling protocol for ground water
    • Supervisory capabilities
    • A Massachusetts Backflow tester license
    • Experience with SCADA.
