    Responsibilities

    Weston & Sampson is seeking a Project Engineer with 4 - 8 years’ experience in designing private and/or public civil/site development projects to join our growing office.  Roadway design experience would be a plus.

     

    • Duties will include: Preparing site development designs such as grading and drainage plans along with stormwater run-off calculations, with stormwater infrastructure design; peer review services of designs prepared by others; permitting assistance; preparation of plans, specifications and estimates; and other support services as needed. 
    • Work will also include supporting other groups including the Facilities design and the Design (landscape architecture) groups.  
    • Other activities will include coordinating with clients and with our in-house design teams, cost-estimating and construction administration for a variety of projects.

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with strong AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation computer skills.
    • Experience with HydroCAD stormwater modeling and stormwater infrastructure design.
    • Experience with environmental permitting for land development, including Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act, etc.
    • Strong written and verbal communication and technical skills.
    • EIT (minimum) and/or Professional Engineer (or able to become licensed within 6 months).
    • Must have valid driver’s license.
