Responsibilities

We are looking for an individual to do construction, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various swimming pools and splash pad equipment. 

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry required (5 year of experience specifically working on pool construction and repairs). 
  • Experience with plumbing, PVC pipe, and pumping systems is a must.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and construction documents.
  • Must plan and complete projects on time and within budget with assistance from other technicians.
  • Be familiar with the state and federal codes for construction of swimming pools.
  • Have a certified pool operator’s license or ability to receive within 6 months of employment.
  • Candidate must be familiar with pool operation including:
    • Pumps and filters
    • Disinfection and chemical feed systems
    • Supply and Return systems
    • Gutters, skimmers and floor drains
  • Supervise and perform the construction of a pool with an automatic chemical feed system from start to finish
  • Must have a detailed understanding of forming, reinforcing and shooting gunite or shotcrete pools.
  • Experience working on commercial pools up to 500,000 gallons capacity is preferred.
  • Understand water chemistry and able to adjust pool water to meet codes.
  • Must provide their own hand tools (wrenches, pliers, screw drivers, etc.) and be willing to learn pool water chemistry techniques.  
  • Able to climb ladders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds. 
  • Good written and verbal communication, customer service, problem solving and organizational skills. 
  • A valid driver’s license is required. 
  • OSHA certification is a plus.
